The WavePro™ (WP201) shorthaul and Wi-Fi platform is a critical component of FreeWave’s IoT communications technology. Whether your in-field area network requirements are in oil and gas production, municipal management, utilities, mining, disaster response, facility automation, or other wide-area operational environments, the WP201 is designed for voice, video, data and sensor™ (VVDS) collection, control and transport.
The WP201 uses advanced self-healing and self-discovering mesh technology for in-field area networks in any industrial application that depends on extremely reliable and dependable communications.
The WP201 supports concurrent, dual band 2.4 GHz and 5Ghz operation. Its integrated 5Ghz 802.11ac and 2.4 GHz 802.11n radios enable transfer rates of 1.3 Gbps and 450 Mbps. The WP201 features Spectrum Management with Band Steering to offload congested 2.4GHz communications to the 5GHZ bands – and supports DFS/TCP to comply with high power operation in 5GHz U-NII bands globally.
The WP201 supports all standard encryption methods, from WPA and WPA2 in both pre-shared key and enterprise (802.11x) applications, to HTTPS, SSH, SNMPv3, VLAN and RADIUS authentication.
